January Rainbow

Now this is a little different!  Just after I did the rainstorm.  Here comes the rainbow.  Enough light at sunset to make this perfect rainbow.  It lasted less than three minutes.  Just long enough to take it!  See, Elynor, there is hope.  With a rainbow spring can't be too far away!

Rain!!!! Last week it was still -11 and today it's raining!  We're not out of the woods yet.  Snow if forecast for Sunday!

It's supposed to snow tonight!!!

No surprise there.  At least it's warmer!  We finally made it a couple of degrees above freezing.  Heat wave!!!!

Now all of your who live on the east coast are going to get this cold.  Wrap up well and stay warm!

This is one of those old tracks.  Great Grandpa was a mining engineer and had dreams of wealth that had him chasing everywhere from Alaska to Old Mexico, and everywhere in between.  He tried to get a boom camp going.  I don't think it got any bigger than what you see here!  This is Burro Nevada about 1902.

Desert Winter

We've been so cold.  All the way down to -21 at night.  We're still at  -11 most nights.  Cold and miserable.  Thank God for wood stoves and a good woodpile!
